Tadiran And Lithium Batteries
Tadiran was basically founded as a business with joint venture between Sonnenschein and Tadiran in 1984. This business was operated in Europe in the name Sonnenschein Lithium until the year 2006, February. Recently to exhibit the affiliation to the entire Tadiran group existing worldwide, the company has now altered the name to Tadiran Batteries GmbH. This new name introduced the idea of branding new batteries and came with Tadiran labeling. However, there are yet some stocks that indicate the Sonnenschein branding in blue, but now most stock carries the new Tadiran Purple branding.
Tadiram batteries have world wide recognition and these batteries are the world leader in the development, design, manufacture as well as marketing of lithium batteries for a series of military applications. Tadiran batteries produce an entire line of lithium thionyl chloride batteries. This production also includes varieties of primary cylindrical batteries and also batteries for high pulse applications. These batteries are flat and come in custom battery packs. Tadiran batteries are available in various terminations as well as assemblies. The batteries are available with high temperature and high power models.
The Tadiran batteries have introduced high voltage batteries with high rate AA sized lithium batteries, the TLM 1550. This packing of 2Wh of energy into an AA size cell with 4.1V is the TLM 1550 and these batteries are specially designed for devices that require high power, extended storage and long life such as aerospace systems, military systems, wireless sensors, communications systems, remote devices and other telemetric devices. The TLM 1550 AA sized batteries feature an open circuit voltage and has the capacity to handle pulses until 15A, that too with constant load of 5A maximum. However, the Tadiran and lithium batteries offer long life even in extreme climatic conditions and include a self-discharge rate less than 3 percent room temperature every year.
The Tadiran and lithium batteries are appropriate for high energy and can stand alone for ten years without any trouble. Owing to these unique features, Tadiran batteries are successfully being used for an array of devices and CMOS memory chips. Recently, the tendency of using the lithium batteries as independent power supplies is in high demand. The Tadiran batteries also include the SL500 series in extended temperature. However, the Tadiran and lithium batteries together offer an extensive range of personalized batteries and also assist in the production of customized batteries for single or multi cell batteries so that they meet the varied or specific requirements.
