Projector Ceiling Mount
Projector ceiling mounts are a great way to position your projector to provide optimal image size for the viewing surface. It can also free up space if you are very limited in your surrounding area.
There are many different types of ceiling mounts for projectors. These include the skyhook model which is a universal fit (suits all ceiling mount projectors) and is fitted direct to the ceiling or adjustable drop. This is a very popular model.
Then there is the popular dipper model. This ceiling mount allows the projector to stay above the ceiling when it is not being used.
There is an electronic control which dips the projector into position (hence the name Dipper!).
Popular ceiling mount designer LP Morgan has released a model called the C-Lift. This is a robust projector ceiling mount. Like the dipper, the projector stays above the ceiling when it is not in use.
Although the names of these particular models will differ between manufacturer, they all function similarly as they are built upon well known and trusted design principles.
You should look at paying at least $150 for a quality projector ceiling mount. You don’t want to go cheap on this as the mount is obviously holding up your expensive projector. It is worth paying for quality materials and therefore you should not dip below $150. I like to spend around $200 on a mount myself and go with trusted brands like the aforementioned LP Morgan.
A good ceiling mount should be quick and easy to install and should of course come with a warranty of some sort.
