Pocket PC Navigator GPS
Pocket PC Gaps navigators are now commonplace in the U.S. Garmin was the first company to use this technology. It serves as a personal Data Assistant, and a GPS navigator in one device. Mostly for people who do not have a GPS unit in their vehicle.
The Garmin IQEM5- It has Windows Mobile 2003 edition. It has an Intel processor, and a Bluetooth adapter. It has a transflective display that looks superb; it has a built in antenna, and many maps to be uploaded. To get maps, you have to install the Mapsource software that comes with it. Once you load the software, it lets you choose which ones to install. The Garmin GPS pocket PC navigator has 64 mb of ram.
It also comes with many points of interest, like hotels, restaurants, fuel stations, and ATM machines. It even has voice directions. You can track by heading, average speed, distance traveled, and other measurements.
Palm Treo 650- You load the Tom Tom navigational software from your PC, and then load the maps that come with it. It features voice software, clear arrows that show turning, traffic reports, weather forecasts, and navigator voices. This makes the Palm treo a wonderful pocket PC GPS navigator.
Pharos pocket GPS navigator secure digital- This compact navigator is very compact and slides into the secure digital slot of a pocket PC. It works with any pocket PC with SDIO NOW! It is capable of tracking all satellites in sight with its 12 channel tracking feature. You get fast signal and top notch response.
Pioneer portable navigation system- AVIC-S1- It has a bright, full colorful display, and is Bluetooth capable. It also boasts an anti-glare easy touch screen. It has preloaded maps of the U.S. and Canada, 1.5 million different points of interest, 2-gigabyte memory, 2-D and 3D maps, if you happen to miss a turn; it has automatic recalculation to get you back on track swiftly. All this makes the Pioneer a special pocket PC GPS navigator.
Magellan Roadmate- It features a touch screen, 6 million points of interest, has easy to use text-to-speech so you can hear every street name while you are turning, easy to read menu options.
