Olympus Evolt E510
If you are looking to purchase a digital camera and are interested in an SLR you know that it is hard to find a good one under a thousand dollars. In fact most SLRs under a thousand dollars have very limited features. One exception is the Olympus Evolt E510. This camera is made for people who love photography. Many may find this camera a bit intimidating because it has so many features; it is a very flexible camera and does take a very nice picture.
The Olympus Evolt E510 has ten point two megapixels, making pictures clear and crisp. It weighs only two pounds despite all the features; such as, 14mm to 42 mm zoom lens. Don’t worry about it breaking easy cause even though it may weigh so little it is well built.
The shutter and exposure buttons are easy to locate when you are ready to start taking pictures. There is also a large dial located on the top of the camera that lets you choose your mode. There is a total of seventeen modes varying from portraits all the way to fireworks.
There are many nice features that come with the E-500. For example you get two level of image stabilization to help cut down on camera shake. It also has exposure bracketing; which allows you to take several versions of the same picture at different settings. This allows for a better chance of getting a good picture in bad lighting situations. There is also a variable flash strength, mirror lockup capability, and support for Compact Flash.
When necessary you can use the two point five inch LCD as viewfinder; however with excessive use it can overheat the camera and introduce noise into your picture. The only thing that is a problem with this camera is that it is a bit of a job to get into the advanced options; however it is very simple to access all the primary features.
All these features would not be much good if the pictures were not high quality. Fortunately the E-510 gives great high quality pictures. In fact it handles most shooting conditions easily with great color and saturation. Even at lower ISO ranges the images come out with little to no noise.
If you are looking for a camera that takes great pictures with great features the e-510 is an excellent choice. It is great for the photography lover in anyone and comes at a very good price as well.
