Iphone GPS Navigator
The Iphone puts GPS navigation right on you phone. It is a cell phone, GPS navigator and mobile computer all in one device. It uses the SKYhook wi-fi positioning system. The Iphone GPS navigator can figure out your location and tell you where to go from there. It even works inside. It downloads info from Google for up to the minute maps. It can take photos and then tag the location.
The Iphone GPS navigator has support for 3G networks, third party applications, and better e-mail. It has good call quality and it has Bluetooth with a built in camera. It has a speakerphone, flash memory and voice mail capacity. The iphones menu is easy to use and attractive. The different menus are easy to find, and it doesn’t take very long to get used to it. The touchscrren serves as a keypad, browser, and dial pad.
Other phones like the iphone, but not quite as expensive are :
The Samsung Instinct from Sprint- it has an Iphone like touch screen and GPS navigation. Comes with a 2gb memory card, spare battery, travel charger and USB cable.
Verizon’s LG Dare- It is smaller than the Instinct and has a much better browser, while still having some features of the Iphone GPS navigator.
The GPS navigator Smartphone edition ships with an updated version on the TomTom navigator 6 software, works with the Palm Treo 650, Treo 700W, and Treo 700P. Comes with a sd card, preloaded atlas, points of interest for the U.S. and Canada,, a suction or adhesive windshield mount, and the receiver. It also has a card reader and extra maps to really get you started. It has a lot of the same features as the Iphone GPS navigator.
The Bluetooth receiver is what turns your Palm Treo into a GPS Navigation device. It is super sensitive, and get a satellite signal quickly. Setup is very easy, all you have to do is put the Navigator 6 secure digital card in a card slot on you device, and activate the program. You can use auto or manual modes on your GPS navigator Smartphone Edition. You use your computer to activate it, by following the onscreen instructions.
At the beginning of the launch, you will see a 3D navigation screen, if you touch the screen, it will bring up the main menu. You can then get to Navigation menu and TomTom traffic, to help you avoid congestion and time delays. You can also find different routes, and it suggests different routes for you to take.
