DVD Players are those portable devices whose primary function is the playing of DVDs i.e. Digital Versatile Discs. The sole purpose of the development of the DVD players is to watch the high storage digital versatile discs. There is a difference between CD players and DVD players. The CD players cannot play DVDs but a DVD player can play a CD. But now-a-days DVDs are always preferred over CDs because of their storage capacity. They are also embedded with the softwares so that it performs some additional tasks live playing music CDs, playing photo CDs, etc.
This has caused a steep rise in the production and sale of DVD players. This has resulted in competition of major companies. But still due to their quality the prices of their products were high. The Chinese companies were the first to take advantage of this. The small companies developed the technology or purchased it from bigger companies and produced low cost DVD players. Today the Chinese made DVD players have market in the whole Asia as well as in America.
