Now days we don’t only buy camcorders for ourselves any more we also buy them for our kids. You just have to figure out what their needs are and what they will use it for and go from there to find the best one for them.

Another choice is the Sony DCR-DVD7 which is a camcorder that uses a DVD to record your video onto. When using a DVD camera you can watch your recorded video immediately after you are done recording, just take out the DVD and put it into the DVD player and watch it. It basic editing features built into it for easy use so they can edit it with out the need of a computer.
Cameras for kids are a good idea to allow them to capture their own style memories instead of having to share ours.
